Danny passed away while traveling round Thailand.
We said goodbye to Danny on 14th February 2007 at Heathrow airport, when he left for a two month tour of Asia. He travelled through Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. In Laos he had an insect bite which he had treated at the time. He died three weeks later on the 14th April on the island of Koh Samui. It seems that, after making some investigations, that it's very likely his cause of death was from the insect bite. He wasn't feeling well, but was unaware that it was probably the venom from the bite causing him problems.
In a letter from the Foreign Office dated October, addressed to our M.P. they say: 'they did not tell Mrs. Salmon testing for venom would not be included as this is not currently available in Thailand'??????? Therefore his post mortem results reveal nothing at all and he died because his heart stopped beating.!!!!!!!
26th March 2008 I'm pleased to add that the coroner is holding an inquest. The wheels grind ever so slowly - the inquest is Thursday 21st May 2009!. I will add more then.

I just wanted to say to all of you who knew Danny far better than we did, We still think about him so often. Neither of us got the chance to know Danny as long as you did, we travelled with him a bit through Cambodia and Vietnam as part of a tour, but we so wanted to meet up when we came back and really wanted to keep in touch. I can't imagine what you have all been through during this sad time but I just wanted to let you know he is not forgotten. He was such a great guy and we both feel really lucky to have met him however briefly.All I can say is that he had been so enjoying himself in his time away and talked about you all so much- he was such a positive person i wish we had had the chance to spend more time with him.
